Leadership Team at Lely Tank and Waste Solutions
Owners, Bill and Clydette Jones launched Lely Tank and Waste Solutions in 2010 to continue the 50-year legacy of Lely in the liquid waste industry. Beginning with the facility in Texas and acquiring Wilson, NC in 2015, through their holding company – BJ3 Industries, Inc. – they reunited the last two locations of one of the oldest vacuum truck manufacturing firms in the liquid waste industry. “Lely was a company with over 40 years in the same locations, with good people making quality products . We’re proud to continue this tradition of quality with many of the same people as a company serving America’s liquid waste industry,” says Bill.
Bill has been involved in steel fabrication and manufacturing since he was 16 years old, working in his family business. Bill is president and business development director, while Clydette directs the administrative department and internal operations. “The opportunity to become partners with everyone we come into contact with, to make their businesses better for them, is our greatest satisfaction,” she explains. “Our core mission is to serve our customers, our industry, our employees and our communities. We hold what I think of as a major stakeholder mentality.”
Bill agrees. “We invest heavily in our community. Service is what I’ve done my entire career. It’s in our character and our makeup.” The couple’s intent is to become the premier provider of tanks to America’s liquid waste industry, led by high ethics and values that prioritize their customers, employees, vendors, investors and communities.
Under their guidance, Lely Tank has enhanced the company’s partnership approach to providing customized vehicles; learning who their customers are, what they’re trying to do, and giving them the equipment they need to do that job. Bill is fond of saying,“ there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution in this industry.”
That’s the premise on which all of Bill and Clydette’s leadership is based.
